Hiring date: usefulness and modification

The date of hire allows you to track the performance of your recruitment process. Let's see how to modify it.

The importance of the hiring date

A candidate's hiring date on the date you move a candidate to the "Hired" stage.

It is particularly important for the quality of your statistics. In fact, if you want to study the performance of your recruitment process, you'll need to look at the time spent between posting an ad and hiring a candidate.

However, the date of the move does not correspond by default to the date of actual entry into the company, since this is an administrative action (which can therefore be taken before or after).

Change the employee's hire date

To match the date of hire to the actual date of entry, go to the new employee's file.
In the history section, you'll find all the main actions carried out on the file: visits to the various stages, interview proposals, emails, etc.

We can see that on this file, the move to "Hired" took place on 08/31/2021. To modify this date, simply click on it and select the appropriate date from the calendar.
Registration is automatic.

Remember to keep your dates consistent. In fact, the latest date must be more recent than previous actions. If necessary, you will need to change the date of previous actions.
